Hamilton Beach 32229 22-Quart Roaster Oven, Stainless Steel Review

I bought my roaster for Thanksgiving. I usually do a lot of cooking and baking for Thanksgiving and this year I made 6 baked desserts alone. I started looking for something to help me with the lack of oven space for this year and found out about the turkey roaster, I had never heard of one before. I started reading a ton of reviews on several different sites to educate myself prior to buying one. I also asked around and called a few people I knew cooked a lot for thier opinions. I got good overall feedback, so I bought this one. Maybe I shouldn't have tried a new method for the first time on such a big day as Thanksgiving... but this has a happy ending. I had a 23.22lb turkey this year. Typically I will cook a bird that big on 300-325 degrees for about 4.5 to 5.5 hours. All the reviews and the instructions stated to cook anything you are making in the roaster at the exact same temperature and time as you would a regular oven. The only two things I saw were about not opening the lid because of how much more of a loss of heat you have on a roaster vs. a regular oven. Also the complaints about a crisp outside which can be easily solved by placing your bird in the oven for just the last 20 minutes of cooking time.
So I got my turkey in the preheated turkey roaster at just below 325 degrees and decided I would cook it for about five hours. I knew I didn't want to keep checking on it because of the notation about heat loss so I decided on that time from the get go since it always worked for me in the past. I got a little nervous and about 3 hours and 45 minutes into the cooking time, I decided to take a peak. A turkey is done and still tender in the thigh at 175 and more like 165 degrees in the breast, and since the turkey will continue to cook 5-10 degrees after you take it out of the oven, I usually take my bird out at 155-160 degrees when taking the temp from the breast. I freaked out when the thermometer read 215 degrees after only about 3.5 hours. I turned the roaster off and took the inside pan out and set it out in the cold to cool down as fast as possible. I admit, I started to cry at the disaster and couldn't help but think about how much that turkey cost that I worried would be a waste of money. And what would my family eat as far as meat went. But let me tell you something... I have never had a juicer turkey in my entire life. I have NO CLUE how at 215 degrees, but I went to grab the leg and the bone just came out completely clean. I guess because it is more of a steam cooking process that it stayed so juicy, or maybe because I wrapped it in bacon, but it was so good! I read someone said it took an extra hour and half, perhaps you didn't preheat the oven or thought you had it at the right temperature but it wasn't... or maybe you opened the lid too many times or didn't secure the lid to begin with, because I had the exact opposite problem. I guess I would just say to check whatever you are making just one time, half way through the originally cooking time to see how it is doing. Otherwise, I love my turkey roaster!

Was looking for a great electric oil burner for my mother. She had another one that stopped working correctly and was leaking through the bottom. I found this one and not only is it beautiful, it is also well made! My mother couldn't be happier and neither could I- My husband got me the same one but in a different color! Works wonderfully!

Glade Plugins Scented Oil, Refills, Crisp Waters, 0.71-Ounce Review

Glade Plugins Scented Oil, Refills, Crisp Waters, 0.71-Ounce

I live in a 2 bedroom apartment and have 2 cats. For cat crowd control, we can isolate them in the master bedroom or keep them out of the master bedroom if maintenance needs in or anything, but the result is we need one litter box in and one litter box out of the master bedroom. Unfortunately the best place for one of the litter boxes is about 5 feet away from the couch in the living room. That's not a smell you want when watching TV with company.
I bought these scented oils for the plug-in because i wanted something to battle the smell but the other oils were so sweet and strong they were sickening. I don't know what it is about "Crisp Waters" but when i use it next to the litter box i can smell neither the litter box nor the plug-in. I've gone through one vial already and knew it was empty because i started smelling the cat odor again.
I never wanted to smell the plug-in, i just didn't want to smell cat waste anymore and this has worked better than i could've expected for my needs.

Glade Aerosol, 9-Ounce Cans (Pack of 12) Review

Glade Aerosol, 9-Ounce Cans (Pack of 12)

We used Glade "Powder Fresh" (PF) in the vivid blue and white container for years, loved it. Then came the "NEW Powder Fresh", washed out/faded colors on the container matched the product now inside. Undoubtably a formulation by the accounting department. It has more of an odor of swamp gas and Chinese Chestnut blossoms than any talcum I've ever smelled.
I called S.C. Johnson & Co. thinking they'd run a bad batch. They sent a FREE coupon good for any Glade product. Before I used it I sampled the "NEW" PF store product on the shelves and found it was ALL watered down. I left the free coupon for someone to use on another Glade product.
Remember when the bean counters at Coke invented the "NEW Coke".
If you can find an old can of Glade Powder Fresh with the cheery blue sky and clouds on the can, buy it. If you like the old time talcum smell you'll be pleased - treasure it - they don't make it like that any more. PF is now PU.

Glade Fabric and Air Odor Eliminator, 22-Ounce Review

Glade Fabric and Air Odor Eliminator, 22-Ounce
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
You couldn't think of two more relaxing scents to combine than vanilla and lavender. This has to be my all time favorite scent (not just in the Glade line, sorry!). But if you spray your room and furnishings with this and then relax in your home and in the rooms you have sprayed you will find yourself being lulled into a calm, relaxed, no worries state of relaxation. Whoever came up with this combination is brilliant! Glade has done a perfect job of marrying the two scents in perfect harmony so one is not overpowering the other. You can spray freely without worry of over-spraying as the scent is just light enough to eliminate that worry but plenty strong enough to remove tough odors and leave behind it's blissful aroma! I hope you'll give it a try. If you like either lavender or vanilla, I know you'll love them combined. Glade stands behind their products 100% and you won't have any trouble making the best of and enjoying this scent.

It really does smell like spring and summer there's just no other way to describe it.
The candles are cheap and last a long time.
You really don't have to keep it lit for more than an hour and my whole room has a nice fresh scent.
Wonderful product.
Highly recommended.
