(More customer reviews)I received this as a gift, and was surprised how much more I liked it than the venturi type aerators. The two main reasons it's better? The pouring remains a one handed operation, and it's much easier to pour the correct amount of wine in the glass. This guy has hash marks for 3, 4, or 5 ounce pours. With the other wine aerators, I invariably poured too much into the glass.
Both types of aerators work, and if you care at all about wine they're worth the price. I preferred this one. Four stars out of five because I hate giving five stars, and the non-glass components don't fill me with confidence.
