Braun KFK12FL FlavorSelect 12-Cup Replacement Carafe Charcoal Gray Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)The glass is very fragile on these pots. You definitely need to be careful washing them. But the coffeemakers are so great you have to live with it. Otherwise, I like the design of the pot and the easily removable lid. Just handle with caare.

Desktop 4-Tealight Fountain Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This little fountain is a little too quiet, but very nice. You don't hear much water sounds because it is so small. However, I like the fact it is battery operated so I can actually place it in the middle of my table without any cords. Very romantic! Tawny Brothers were excellent in their communication with me with the post office misplaced my original order, then found it, but I was very pleased with this purchase.

Braun KFK500-BK AromaDeluxe 10-Cup Replacement Carafe, Black Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)My husband loves this coffee pot. The problem is, it is a little sensitive. He was washing it with a brush and barely bumped it on the sink, and while it did not break it did put a large crack around the carafe. We are very careful while handling it, primarily for the reasons listed by other reviewers, and we've only had it about 6 weeks. Maybe the glass is a little thin or not tempered properly? Either way, be careful while washing it.

Krups 049-33 Gold Tone Filter Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This is an economical solution to using paper filters for coffee--even the unbleached ones that stress the environment less than bleached paper does. The gold coating on the plastic makes for a neutral flavored filtration. You will get a few more fines than with a paper filter.
However, when cleaning the filter, do not be tempted to put it in the dishwasher. The action of the metal cleaners in the detergent and an electroplating effect caused by other metals in the dishwasher (like your silverware) will remove the gold from the filter. Just wash it by hand with a few drops of dish detergent to remove coffee oils. This should last for years.

Why use a permanent filter? For one thing you won't experience that painful moment of truth when you realize you have to face the day without a java fix because you forgot to put paper filters on your grocery list. For another stainless steel filters extract the most flavor from your coffee. They are environmentally friendly and they save you money in the long run. There now, all that should have you convinced!
