(More customer reviews)Has worked with cooking rice and steaming vegetables. Only issue is it takes a long time to steam vegetables. Found that if I started the steamer at 15 minutes, waited till I saw steamer to put the vegetables in and restarted the steamer, it worked great. Have not tried to slow cooker part.

Stainless Steel Rice Cooker Model ME81 (Formerly ME8) - by Miracle Exclusives Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this rice cooker to replace an old aluminum bowl rice cooker that was starting to show a lot of wear and tear after many years of use. I spent a lot of time searching for a rice cooker that wasn't made with aluminum or those non-stick surfaces. I was delighted to find this one that has a stainless steel bowl and steaming basket. It really looks a lot nicer than the picture on the page shows, so I thought it would be great to do a video so you could see it.
I use it practically every day for one thing or another and like the nice 8 cup size. I make brown rice, wild rice, lentil soup, pea soup, steel cut oatmeal, quinoa, barley and other whole grains. Everything seems to come out perfectly and clean-up is easy. I usually set the bowl in the sink with some warm water in it for about 10 minutes and then just sponge out any remaining residue.
Two thumbs up for this great rice/grain/other stuff cooker!

after reading about the drawbacks of non stick cooking elements. i attempt to try this
we use this cooker to cook rice daily. and the rice comes out very well and it is fluffy also.
some rice sticks at the bottom.
but we can avoid sticking by doing this
1. don't put rice in warm mode for longer
2. do not take rice from the cooker immediately after it is done. leave it in the cooker for half an hour(unplugged)
if little rice sticks at bottom, we don't mind. because it is stainless steel
the steamer is good to cook vegetables
i give 5stars since the stainless steel bowl is of good quality.

Aroma ARC-560 Rice Pasta Gourmet Rice & Pasta Cooker Review

(More customer reviews)I have had this rice and pasta cooker for several weeks, and I get a lot of use out of it. I love that I can cook rice and steam vegetables at the same time with it. The non-stick surface actually works! I have had no need at all to scrub or scrape at it. Even when I've forgotten half a pot of rice on the counter overnight, the dried up rice just falls right out of the pot. It also works better than my stovetop for making pasta -- I use wheatless pastas made of rice or corn, and they can be a little tricky to cook.
It's rather expensive, but so far I have really enjoyed having it. I had a cheaper rice cooker before, and it was ok, but this really is a lot better.

(More customer reviews)The stainless steel is high quality steel. I use rice cooker a lot - not just for rice. The reason I didn't give it a 5 stars is that the handle on the steamer tray was off the hock after second use and I couldn't put it back on. Also I don't know why Amazon still didn't correct it - it's a 8-CUP, not 18-cup pot. So it is pretty pricey if you consider that. But I decided to keep it for the quality material (at least looks like) they used .
