(More customer reviews)I received a Peace Pearl candle as a gift years ago. I have received so many comments on it and several people have taken its name to try to fins it themselves. Few specialty stores carry it so I was absolutely delighted to find it here on AMazon with PRIME shipping. I bought a few as presents and a few for me just in case they dissapear. I don't think i would need anything else. It has a clean fresh scent, but isn't to pine-sol-y, the clove gives it a tiny hint of masculinity, it has a great burn time and the wax blend burns wonderfully. It fills up a room, but not to the point where you feel you can't breathe and the scent lingers for a while. I have three dogs so I tend to air freshen, but I can't handle stuff that is too heavy or smoky. This is perfect (and comes in red - Peace Red - should you want it).

Oster 20-Cup Digital Rice Cooker Review

(More customer reviews)I have no idea what the problem is with this item, but after attempting to find one that works in my local area, I give up. I've taken three of them back to the place of purchase hours after buying it. Why? Because despite following manufacturer's instructions to the letter (and rinsing the rice, and following guidelines for usage, and following their recipes), the thing shuts down halfway through the first cycle of usage and quite simply stops working...it actually appears to be shorting out or something, though judging from the rank plastic smells that have consistently filled my kitchen, I'm guessing the thermostat is flawed and allowing the unit to overheat and burn out.
Used to be you could count on Oster for high quality and long lived products. I'm convinced those days are gone for good. Nothing I've bought from this company recently has been up to snuff--and this rice cooker is the bottom of the barrel. AVOID this unit.

It works quite well with the PID temperature controllers available from Auber Instruments and Sous Vide Magic, and it is considerably less expensive than other rice cookers of comparable size.
I only give it 4 stars because I haven't tried using it for its stated purpose: cooking rice and vegetables. I suspect that it would perform quite well in that capacity, but it would be a bit large for most home cooks. The minimum quantity of rice that you can cook is a bit over 3 cups, precooked, yielding 7 to 10 cups of cooked rice.

Found that if I started the steamer at 15 minutes, waited till I saw steamer to put the vegetables in and restarted the steamer, it worked great. Have not tried to slow cooker part.

(More customer reviews)Wow! I am so glad that I took a chance on this rice/steamer.. I almost passed this item up because I only saw one review and it was a bad review. Well I took a chance and this is one nice Item. I purchased ours for 19.99 at Target. There were only two left. Let me get to how this all started. First of all I came across a proctor silex rice cooker, for 19.99, I passed that cooker up and then went back to look for that cooker and it was gone. So I did some research on rice cookers. Come to find out, this one had what I was really looking for. The proctor was only a rice cooker. This Rice cooker/steam, can not only cook rice, but steam veggies and fish. It is like a one cook pot.
So, rushed home from the store, washed everything, out of the box and read the directions and started putting everything in the pot. I used jasmine rice, and seasoned the rice the way that I wanted it. When I tell you that I have never tasted rice like this, I said, well what have I been eating? I always wondered why I could never get brown rice or any rice cooked right, now I know. Not only did this rice cooker cook the rice just right, but It also steamed the veggies just the way I like them.... Wow what a deal.. Not let me also say that I only washed the steamer, top and base that goes inside of the rice cooker. You are not to was the base in water.
I am so glade that I took a chance on this item, and I am glad that I will be making healthier food for my family. Our children are so excited about the rice cooker. I see why there were only two left on the self. And I see why you should have a ricer cooker.
Now the other rice cooker that I wanted to purchase was used and only cooked rice. I was also told that it was returned because the person who purchased the item did not like the it cooked. So I am glad that I passed it up. This was worth the price and we feel like we made a wise investment and that we used our money wisely.
Now last thing is that this comes with a user manual that has a few recipes included. Well I am on my way to eat more rice and veggies!

My mother's pressure-cooked meals always had that extra flavor, and this product delivers it with less fuss, even on my balcony! The only complaint I have that prevents me from giving five stars is the lack of insert baskets for steaming. Incidentally, I've donated my slow cooker to Goodwill, since this pot does excellent slow-cooked chicken stock after pressure-cooking the whole chicken in record-time.

(More customer reviews)On my first try, cooking rice in my new rice cooker, I used long grain brown rice and followed the directions in my Hamilton Beach manual - using so many liters of water with so many cups of rice. My rice cooker stopped cooking after 70 minutes (way too long!) and the cooker still had about an inch and a half of water left on top of the rice. I could have made rice pudding with the consistency of the slop I ended up with. I was bound and determined to make this rice cooker work for me so I tried it again, using the cooking directions on the package of rice instead. On my next try I scooped 4 of their (6 oz) cups of long grained brown rice and added exactly 8 of their (6 oz) cups with water. I added 2 teaspoons of salt and started the cooker. It was perfect rice! After 48 minutes or so of cooking, the cooker switched from cook to warm. After about 10 minutes I used the spatula that comes with the rice cooker and stirred the rice from the bottom up. I added a couple of tablespoons of margarine to the mix and replaced the top. The consistency and flavor was perfect! I now love my rice cooker! My mom taught me years ago, when getting ready to cook rice, stick your middle finger in the pot until the tip of your finger touches the top of the rice. If the water level is even with your big knuckle, you've added the right amount of water. I did the knuckle test before I started my rice cooker. It really works!

You not only do not have to worry about a flame, but you also can, thus, leave the home while this product works continuously for days, months really. The scent is strong but not overbearing. All in all, this is a perfect solution to those of us who do not want to worry about lighting then extinguishing candles every time we want the home to smell nice. Not only that, but the reed diffusers work simply via the reeds and a scented oil, no plug-in is needed, thus saving electricity and further simplifying this product! (More customer reviews)French Cade and Lavendar is one of the loveliest fragrances Voluspa offers. The diffuser is SO convenient because i don't have to worry about lit candles all over my house. It's sad that the price is so steep,but this is the lowest price i've found online, and it's worth it if you're averse to Glade, Pier 1 and Target diffusers. Those can be halting, or sour over time. This brand is bright, and it blends well so your home doesn't smell like a perfume counter (my husband and i refuse to live in that type of environment, and we're cool with this product). The closest second to this quality is Old Navy's diffuser, which i haven't been able to purchase online, apprently they've cleared their scent co. from stores. Ah well...i'll just save up for more Voluspa loveliness!
