(More customer reviews)This Aroma rice cooker deserves someone's seal of approval, so I'll give it mine. I especially like the brown rice and steaming functions it offers. It's also a nice size for a small family. It doesn't take forever to cook your rice the way some of the fancier, more expensive ones do, and it keeps it warm for you automatically. One feature it does not have is a removable lid. I have other rice cookers with lids that detach, and that makes cleanup easier. However, that lack doesn't keep me from liking this appliance. If you think your rice cooker needs a timer, this one doesn't have that either, but I haven't missed not having it. You can prepare other dishes besides rice in it, such as steel cut oats, soups, chili, even stew. It's so nice not to have to prepare rice on your cooktop. Try this cooker. I think you'll appreciate its convenience.

Aroma ARC-560 Rice Pasta Gourmet Rice & Pasta Cooker Review

(More customer reviews)I have had this rice and pasta cooker for several weeks, and I get a lot of use out of it. I love that I can cook rice and steam vegetables at the same time with it. The non-stick surface actually works! I have had no need at all to scrub or scrape at it. Even when I've forgotten half a pot of rice on the counter overnight, the dried up rice just falls right out of the pot. It also works better than my stovetop for making pasta -- I use wheatless pastas made of rice or corn, and they can be a little tricky to cook.
It's rather expensive, but so far I have really enjoyed having it. I had a cheaper rice cooker before, and it was ok, but this really is a lot better.

(More customer reviews)I had researched several higher priced rice cookers (over $100) before buying this one. I came across it at Sam's Club ($30) and thought I should give it a try. I was skeptical at first, because most rice cookers in this price range received horrible reviews. However I was pleasantly surprised the first time I used it. It took 15 minutes or so to cook 3 cups of rice and it came our perfect, just like you would get from a good Chinese restaurant. I've never been able to cook rice like that before. It's great. It's also very easy to clean.

Aroma ARC-730G 10-Cup Rice Cooker & Food Steamer Review

(More customer reviews)This is my first rice maker and I love it! Much better than making it on the stove in a pot. The first rice I made in this was a brown rice, wild rice mix. It turned out perfectly. I even forgot to rinse it first, and I did not soak it like the directions required. The machine did not boil over. I just used an extra 1/4 cup water for each cup of rice I added. I also added in a small amount of butter. No sticking, no burning - just perfect rice. I also like that the removable pot is aluminum and not coated with toxic non-stick materials. The clean up was easy. For the price, compared to higher end models, I would recommend this rice maker/steamer to anyone.
